Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about MBO Foundation's blockchain transaction infrastructure.

About MBO Foundation

What is MBO Foundation?

MBO Foundation is a technology infrastructure provider that facilitates fast, secure, and compliant peer-to-peer (P2P) and business-to-business (B2B) transactions using blockchain technology. We are structured as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) under Irish law.

Do you hold or manage my assets?

No. MBO Foundation is a pipeline, not a vault. We never take custody of user assets. All transactions are direct between parties (P2P or B2B). We provide the infrastructure for the transaction to occur, but your assets remain under your control throughout the entire process.

What is the relationship with Cuandeoro?

Cuandeoro operates as the technical management arm, licensed by MBO Foundation. MBO Foundation owns the concession for Cuandeoro's technical services. Cuandeoro handles the operational layer of transactions while maintaining strict separation from asset custody. Neither entity holds user assets.

Technology

What technology do you use?

We use Ripple's XRP Ledger (XRPL) for transaction settlement. This provides:

  • • Settlement in 3-5 seconds
  • • Transaction fees of approximately $0.0002
  • • Over 1,500 transactions per second capacity
  • • Carbon-neutral operations
  • • ISO 20022 compatibility with banking standards
How fast are transactions?

Transactions settle in 3-5 seconds on the XRP Ledger, compared to days or weeks for traditional banking transfers. This near-instant finality enables real-time settlement for both P2P and B2B transactions.

What are the transaction costs?

The XRPL network fee is approximately $0.0002 per transaction—a fraction of traditional banking fees. This makes it dramatically cheaper for cross-border transactions and large value transfers.
